How we handle the information you share with us, and what happens (and doesn't) behind the scenes on this site.
This site is operated by Cornwall & Morgan Ltd ("we", "us"), a consultancy improving the English guest communication of Japanese hospitality businesses. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email office@cornwallandmorgan.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
We only hold the information you choose to give us. When you request a free review or otherwise get in touch, that is typically your name, your property's name, its website address, your email address, and anything you write in your message. Browsing the site itself does not require you to provide any personal information.
Our contact form does not submit to a database. When you complete it, it opens your own email application with the details filled in, and you send that message to us directly. Your information therefore travels by ordinary email and is not stored by this website or by any form-handling third party.
We use what you send us to reply to you, to prepare and deliver your free review, and to discuss and provide our services. Under UK data protection law our lawful bases are your consent in contacting us, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and taking steps at your request before any agreement. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we never sell them.
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. Because of that, there is no consent banner to click through. The revenue calculator on our homepage runs entirely in your browser — the figures you enter are used only to display a result on your screen and are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
To display its typefaces, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google may receive your IP address and processes it under its own privacy terms. Our email correspondence is handled by our email provider acting on our behalf. Aside from these, no third party receives your information through this site.
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as we need it to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records, after which it is deleted.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
